Notice anything new? Because we certainly do! As of February 28th, Line of Departure is rolling out as a default browser favorite for Army computers.
In the wake of our idea competition to promote Line of Departure, we received dozens of great ideas to accomplish just that. One of the many brilliant ideas came from Capt. Walker Mills. His submission took second place in our competition. You may remember it from our post below, “Every Soldier Knows Nick”.
Essentially, Walker’s idea was to add Line of Departure to the “favorites” bar on Army operating systems. The benefits of this type of exposure is supported by a behavioral economics theory called Nudge Theory. Part of what made this suggestion so genius was its ease. It required very little legwork and immediately allowed us to passively reach thousands of service members.
Thank you to the hard work of SFC Blood and SGM Brady, this idea came to fruition in the two months following our idea competition. We’ve seen the bookmarks live on AVD’s Chrome browser—where else have you seen it?
